Since the Hurricane Katrina hit the New-Orleans and Louisiana areas,
MDA Israel began an emergency mission named "United Brotherhood".
Since the beginning of the Campaign, MDA Israel has been collecting
donations; funds, clothing and other equipment for the 400,000 New
Orleans survivors, who were left homeless.
MDA in Israel has set up special fund collection centers for these
donations. The funds collected will be used to purchase equipment
which will help decrease the level of illnesses and mortality amongst
survivors.
In addition to these funds, MDA has collected 10 tons of mineral
water and other equipments, such as 100 mattresses, blankets and 4
tons of disposable nappies, which were donated by Israeli
industrialists and manufactures.
All donations collected will be transferred to the USA in a plane
charted by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aimed at
transporting all donations to the survivors.
